Hello in October I purchased an ASUS X501A laptop pre installed with windows 8. A few months after i purchased it I turned it off before i went to bed. When I turned it on it had a black screen for a while then it went to the ASUS logo and underneath it said repairing automatic repair for about 5-6 hours. So i searched the web for answers and tried many solution none of which worked. Now I need it for school purposes and it wont work. im willing to reset it but i dont have the recovery media and my desktop run windows 7. Also my laptop runs a 62 bit operating system while my desktop run 32 bit. So any help would really be appreciated.
Some other notes;
Sometimes randomly it will get me into the recovery area.
When that happens everything takes forever to load.
When I try to recover my pc it says the drive where windows is installed is locked.
I tried to perform the scannow and chkdsk commands but it gave me errors related to the drive being non accessible
