Sapphire R9 290 temperature problem

Hey guys
I have a R9 290 graphic card but I am concerned of temperature when I am playin COD 80-90 ºc but the fan speed 20% or 40% sometimes. Is working in this temperature a problem for AMD gpu or would it effect the life of my vga? should I increas the fan speed with msi afterburner? ( is it necessary? )

they were designed to run around 80c, if you want download msi afterburner and set a custom fan curve which should help cool things down

Is your GPU an R9 290 or R9 290x? This type of gpu is actually designed to work at such high temperature, you should be fine unless it starts reaching more than 94C.

Guys R9 290 is super !!! I played Call of Duty Ghost : full detailed , no lags on a 32 inch tv (sony bravia). Wonderful experience! And with the msi after burner I could handle the temperature between 70-75 ºc with 40% of fan func
