Hello guys, I have asus x55a and suddenly it boots only to bios, tried updating bios to latest version 4.17 still nothing, tried some workarounds posted here which is disabling fast boot and secureboot nothing changes, downgrading bios not possible via the easy flash utility in bios, boot from usb option not found in the boot order anymore, even dvd boot isnt found unless I disable fast boot and secure boot and sfter that it tries to load the disc for seconds then automatically restart to bios only again, any ideas or help please?

I have the same laptop with the same issue. Have sent it to ASUS for diagnosis. The hard drive controller died. Need to replace the motherboard. It is 6 months out of warranty. Going to cost $400.
I believe this is a manufacturing fault / common component failure, now 4 cases found on various forums.
I intend to talk to ASUS about having them cover the repair cost.
