Hello, so ive installed my new cooler master 212 evo onto my fx 8320 and did a quick multiplier overclock to 4gHz. I ran prime 95 and checked on it about 30 minutes later and my temps were only at 35C (which I know is wrong) and then an hour later still 35C. Is there anyway to fix this or another program that will give more accurate readings than CPUID?

My Specs:
4gb ddr3 1333 kingston ram
Asus M5a99X Evo R2.0
AMD FX 8320 @4gHz
Antec 620M HCG PSU
Hyper 212 Evo Coller
Haf 912 case
WD 1TB caviar blue

Thanks in advance!

I actually have the same MoBo/CPU.
So try CPUID. It is not very reliable, but it is better than just one source. Make sure that it is the actual chipset being read wrong, not just faulty software
*It is perfectly normal for software to detect wrong temps, ESPECIALLY on AMD boards

I have been getting the same temperatures using speccy and HWM. I have FX 8320 overclocked at 4.2 GHz and my the temperature recorded is around 10C (idle) and around 38-40C (full load on prime for 2 hours). I am a bit worried if somethings wrong with the mobo or what. I have CM Hyper 212 plus
