Today i was putting in a new psu and when i removed and touched my gpu i gave it a small shock. Everything works fine now but im just wondering if it dose harm to the gpu or maybe not since it works? also whenever i touch my pc case i get a shock. Only from the metal parts. and i know that i have to ground myself but i didnt so i was wondering if me getting shocks from the case outside harms my pc? thanks.

You get some shocks from touching your case or components because you may have static electricity going around, try wearing a anti-static wrist band next time you do maintenance.
