Hi. I just bought the EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4GB [04G-P4-3778-RX]. I am reading reviews saying the the EVGA GTX 770 4 GB [04G-P4-3778-KR] is better. I don't understand why. When searching the specifications, they seem virtually identical -- same base clock, same boost clock.

Is there a difference? And if so, what?

Also,
Corsair HX750 PSU
ASRock Extreme6
Core i5 3570k @ 3.4 -- O.C. to 4.2Ghz
16 GB G.Skill Trident X 1600Mhz
Corsair H100i CPU Cooler
3 Case Fans
Samsung 830 128GB SDD

The GPU requires a 600 watt PSU minimum. Is the PSU going to be okay to add the EVGA GTX 770 to this?

Solution
Yes, it's the same card. Somebody bought it and returned it. eVGA tested it again, repackaged it, and then you got it. It should be as good as new, if eVGA testing was thorough. And I think it is...

Warranty is why...

EVGA offers various limited warranty terms from the date of purchase to the original owner with a valid invoice. For original owners without a valid invoice and users that have not purchased the product from an authorized reseller, the warranty period is 3 years from the date that the product was shipped from EVGA's warehouse. Registration is recommended by EVGA, but not required on the following:

Limited 3 Year Suffixes: -KR, -K1, -K2, -K3, -KB, -KA, -KF, -KM
Limited 5 Year Suffixes: -GR, -SR, -VR
Limited 10 Year Suffix: -XR

*** Recertified products with -RX as the suffix carry a one-year warranty and -RB carry a 90 day warranty, but follow a different RMA process. Recertified products are not eligible for the Optional Extended Warranty, Step-Up or EVGA Advanced RMA Programs.

Go with the Kr.

Hi. Thanks for the replies. I was aware that the GPU is not new. I purchased it from Newegg, and it stated it is manufacturer refurbished. I did not know that would change the model number. That explains the confusion I was having in trying to compare models. Anyway, I have purchased several refurbished products without issue, and have never had any issues with a refurbished item from Newegg.

So, does this mean that the GPU is the same as model: EVGA GTX 770 4 GB [04G-P4-3778-KR] only it is refurbished? If so, I am fine with that -- one year, and usually even 90 days, is enough time for me to know if a piece of equipment is going to have issues.
