iS THIS MORE POWERFULL THEN MY MSI 7870

Solution

To go from 38 fps to 43 fps? Still not worth it. Maybe an upgrade to GTX 770, that would have noticeable effects.

There isn't much difference tbh. I really wouldn't upgrade from a HD7870 to an R9 270x, keep the 7870. 100% keep it. Not much difference.

EDIT: Oh it is the 4gb version. I would still not recommend it tbh. I'd rather go with a GTX 760 for the same price.

Well actually im not upgrading my 7870 broke and i was able to return it. Since i really liked and couldnt find it for the same price i wanted to see if this one was good. And what is up with the 4gb version isnt it usually a 2 gb

OK, then it makes sense to get the 270x, if you were satisfied with the fps you got before.

The 4GB version is better than the 2GB version wen you use two monitors, or two cards, or high resolutions like 2560x1440. In normal gaming at 1080p it won't make a noticeable difference. OK, exception if you play Skyrim with certain mods that need a lot of memory.

Here was my build what you think http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2tlFM

Good build, but...

1. That case comes with a single fan. Add at least one more if you haven't already. At a minimum you want one fan in front to push cold air into the case, and one fan in the back to push hot air out. Your HD 7870 may have overheated because of this.

2. Your case allows cards up to 10" long according to specs. Whatever card you buy, check the length first, OK?
For example the Asus 270x won't fit, it's 10.7". Neither will the MSI, at 10.24".
This Sapphire version will fit, it's only 9" long.

Oh okay what do you mean about the second fan can i just get a cheap fan and have it in a different area or have the fan facing a different way

Your case comes with one 120mm mounted at the back

At the maximum, you can have 2 fans on the top of the case (these should be pushing air out, i.e upwards as hot air rises anyway), 2 on the main removable panel (left side panel if looking at the front of the case), one at the top in the back (already provided), and 1 on the bottom in the front, in front of the HDD bays.

At the minimum, I'd add the front fan. I'd say add the front fan (pushing air from outside to inside the case) and one top fan (pushing upwards).

The fan mounts look like this:
2 Top 120mm (or 140mm) fan mounts.
-2 Side 120mm (or 80mm [or 92mm]) fan mounts
-1 Rear 120mm (or 80mm [or 92mm]) fan mounts
-1 Front 120mm fan mount (With special screws specifically for that slot.)

Buy two 120 mm fans. Here are some quiet ones.

There are cheaper fans too, but make sure you check the noise ratings.
