I have I7-920 with a P6t Intel motherboard system that I built about 4 yrs. ago. I installed 2 identical wd black drives (separate from my boot drive).rebooted, went into bios and selected Raid, saved settings and control i to take me into the Matrix Storage Manager and created raid volume, saved that and exited out.
At any point do I need to install drivers if these drives are not used for booting Win7 and is it possible that I have them setup as raid0 but just functioning as one big hard drive and how can I confirm in windows that they are indeed working as raid0?

There may be an management application on the MB's website that will manage the raid controller in windows. This should show you if it's configured.
