I'm trying to pick up a solid-state drive for my HP. I know all the specifications though one thing I can't find anywhere and hadn't considered until I read a post. What voltage do I need? How can I find out what voltage my HDD is at now and I don't see it listed on any of the site that sell these products.
I read somewhere that a 1.8 inch with a converter might not be compatible due to power differences.
Just as a follow up the HDD that came in my laptop is a 5volt 5200rpm and I am wondering, if something like, a 3.3v ssd will be compatible or should i look for a ssd with 5volt rating?
