Bringing GPU through the airport?

I recently bought an R9 270x in Taiwan, but I am going back to Shanghai soon. I didn't open the bag yet. Should I bring it in a carry-on or the luggage?

I got in trouble once for bringing a small can of fish with me in Amsterdam, LOL. And another time with a tiny potato peeling knife (gift, all wrapped) at Zurich airport. They confiscated the stuff because I didn't have any checked luggage to move it to. They're rather strict these days. Mind you, I only lost a couple of bucks each time, no biggie.

Yah i was thinking about doing that, but now I'm worried about the pressure. Pressure in the cabin is regulated, but its different down there. I was just wondering if that will damage the heat pipe or the heat sink?
