Somebody please tell me how software recognizes that it's licensed. I'm assuming the IP address but could be wrong. Is that generated by the cpu the mobord, or something else? thnx

Solution
IP Addresses are generated by either dhcp or by applying it staticaly. It has nothing to do with the cpu or the motherboard, but with your DHCP server. What software are you talking about? :)

I have musical recording software, virtual instruments and vst plugins, etc. plug a text to speak program and some other stuff that requires a key. Some don't allow multiple installations and it's high dollar stuff. What's dhcp stand for? thnks
