Out of curiosity, i wanted to know which card performed better. the 650ti boost is a bit more expensive where i'm from than an overclocked non-reference 260x. Which one would perform better in general? PLUS- which one would go better with an fx-6300 @ stock clockspeeds?

I don't know why people on these forums always tell you to get something better-it isn't in my budget right now and i am not at liberty to save up for something better. even if i had a GTX 770 and an i5 people would tell me to upgrade to an i7 and a 780ti. i don't have all the money in the world to spend on just pc parts and have to eat and pay rent as well. but if you say the 260x is better for the price, i'll consider it. thanks.

no what i mean is that the 260x is not a 'sweet spot card' in 6-12 months you might need to turn do resolutions to medium to low settings to play games at playable frame rates. if you got the 760 or 770 you might get 12-18 months of high settings at playable frame rates but if you don't want to spend the money on it , that's fine.

that won't be a problem, i only game at 1366x768 and will get a 1600x900 monitor later on, i absolutely CAN NOT spend more money on parts. and this is as high as i can go- iv'e had a very shitty computer for the last 4 years and this new one will be an extreme difference

oh i though you meant at 1920-1080, you'll get good frame rates at good-very good setting for 12-15 months with it then you might need to turn it to med-high
