I have found a pretty great graphics card, but it don't support OpenGL. Do I need OpenGL to play games like Battlefield or Titanfall ?

Solution

That does support OpenGL. I dont know why you think it doesnt?

Pretty sure every consumer GPU has supported OpenGL for the last 10+ years.

Do you really need opengl, is that a joke? opengl is the extension to life, it was the building block into games and will continue on so forth. open gl bloody more important then direct x. android, apple, tablets, consoles, ps4, wii u, linux, half life, i could go on forever.

Open gl is very important, just as someone who would force a bible down my throat, and i respect people who read the bible.

Just not the opengl superbible.

Most gpu's support directx and opengl

Nvidea supports:
cuda
nvapi
open gl
direct x
But mostly their own

Amd supports mostly the same, but will have mantle, similar to open gl, but micrsofts very stingy on who implements api on their console.

It's direct x or the highway amd.
