Motherboard suitable for new case?

Hi there! This is my second time asking a question here as I am a sort of newbie when it comes to computer building. I've only ever added a new PSU and GPU to a computer system but that is really it.

I am planning on buying a Crosair Carbide 200R case for my PC as my GPU does not have enough fans to keep airflow cool.

The only problem I have is with my current motherboard. I'm not so smart with motherboards and such so I was wondering if anybody could help and let me know if it is compatible with the new case I was planning on ordering and if there would be space to add new fans onto it.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately no. Your motherboard only has 3 fan headers and one of those are for the CPU fan. This leaves you with two remaining fan headers. You have a few options, depending on how many more fans you want to connect:

1. You can get a couple of fan Y-splitter cables. This would allow 2 fans to connect to each remaining header for a maximum of 4 case fans (in addition to your CPU cooler fan). Although they also make 3-way fan splitter cables, I do not recommend trying to drive more than 2 fans per motherboard header.

2. You can connect fans directly to the PSU using any unused 4-pin Molex connectors. Most fans come with a 2/3-wire fan to 4-pin molex cable or you can purchase fan- molex cables. Only drawback is the fans will always run at full=speed (no control other than on/off).

3. If you have an unoccupied front bay (or bays), you can purchase a fan speed controller. This will allow you to connect multiple fans to it and control their speed. They come in a few different schemes to allow for different amounts and types of fans.

Hope this helped. :)

The PSU I have is a Crosair Cx750W modular PSU so I have spare 4 pin connectors I can use on the fans; I'll make sure to do thorough research before I do purchase any though, thank you very much :p
