Hey guys and girls,

I am currently running a 4820k at 4.4Ghz with 1.2v and 43*c

Bit worried that no one else is getting a temperature that low on there CPU or that I'm round the corner from a expensive explosion. :D

I have no idea what I am doing so and help/mockery is welcome

Setup is as followed

CPU - i7 4820k
Mobo - GA-X79-UD3
RAM - 16Gb Corsair Vengence
Cooling - H100i
PSU - Corsair RM750

Then you are all good. You can either push it higher, or remain at that speed and slow your fans for less noise (as you have the thermal headroom).

Nice one, looks like you have a good chip.

What program are you using to "load up" your CPU? Have you tried Prime95 or Intel Burn Test yet?

The whole system becomes unstable any higher multiplier, won't even post at 4.6GHz so I'll stay where I am. I have also thought that as it is sat right next to a radiator this is probably have some effect on the temp too, Duh!

Cheers though, just wanted some confirmation that it sounds stable as it.

For a higher multi, you would probably have to raise the voltage more. Your temps look good though.

Generally, if you pass the 10 goes on IBT, then you are stable. Not much pushes the CPU as hard as IBT.

I have raised it as high as 1.43v and I can get it to boot but it will BSOD the minute any load is applied. Don't really want to take it to close to 1.5v if i can avoid it. Having said that the temp is still low 40's at rest.

The whole rig is pretty rapid as is just need some more GPU power and I'm set for a bit

Did you see if you have any LLC options?

I can't see any, but then I wouldn't know where to start looking :), I have GigaBytes F17 Bios. Not to sure I would want to risk running it without it incase of voltage spikes, espeically as I am having to increase vcore up to 1.43 just to get it to boot.
