I have a hyper evo 212 and kingston hyper x performance ram (2x4gb).
I want my hyper evo facing up but can obviously not do that.

As a solution can i move my ram cards to channel b to still have the heatsink facing up or do i just turn the heatsink around to face out the back.

Any advice is helpful

For dual channel, slots are to be used in configuration of either 1,3 or 2,4. Evo 212 gives good ram clearance. You should not have any such issues. What is your mobo

Options:
Use RAM slots 2 & 4
Put the fan on the other side, in pull config
Slide the fan up just a bit to clear

If you have front mounted air fans in push configuration then you can easily use Evo 212 in pull configuration and yes you can mount the fan bit higher if required.
