I bought a 64GB Plextor SSD for my laptop, but a couple days ago it stopped responding.
The first sign something was wrong was that the computer hung on the startup screen.
The drive is recognized by the BIOS. When I put it in an external enclosure and connect via USB, there was a sound signifying it was recognized. Indeed, when I go into the device manager it shows the drive.
But it won't show up in "Computer" or in Disk Management. Furthermore, any attempt to interact with the drive crashes the respective window.
I desperately want to be able to get to the files on the drive. Can anyone advise on how to get the files back myself, or point me to a piece of software that could recover the drive? Best answer to whoever gets me the furthest out of this hole!
Thanks.
