Hey, i wanna reset my desktop computer back to factory settings, but i dont have any CD's... How do i do this, thanks for help!

It's and assembled one.... The problem is a spyware i cannot seem to get removed.. And yesterday the computer just went crazy.. It literally started writing to people on my facebook, things i had previously searched on google hours earlier...

Example, i search : Tomshardware on google.. The computer could randomly write that to someone i was chatting with.

I dont have any CD's and i dont have any restore points that would fix the problem.

What I understood, you need a format and clean install of OS.

First try some online virus scanner to clean off the virus.

1. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

2. http://www.bitdefender.com/scanner/online/free.html

3. http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

Scan the PC with the above mentioned scanners, if the problem persists, then I have a question for you, do you have the legit license for your OS ? and what is your current OS ?

Assuming you have WIN 7 as OS and have the legit license : And it will be better if you have another WIN 7 PC available to you with internet connection :

1. Download from here, the same OS you have currently and the version of it (32/64 bits):

2. Create a DVD/USB from the downloaded content with the help of this tool. You will find how to do it on the link provided, and can use the same license :
