I play a few games that use p2p connection and I realize that i am a bad host. People always complain of lag when connected to me. I have checked my firewall, i scanned for viruses and everything but still no solution. My connection is 6mb/s and on DSL. Help is much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Look into port forwarding if you are behind a router. If your setup is not configured to forward the data to the proper host, this can lead to slower connections. You will need to know which port the game is running on for this to work. Try connecting directly to your modem and see if that solves the problem, if so, we can assume some setting on the router is the problem. Also, the 6Mb/s is your download speed for the DSL, do you know your upload rate? This is the value which matters when others are connecting to you, as they are downloading information from you.

My upload speed is about 0.6 to 0.7 Mb/s. And i dont use a modem for my dsl, it just goes straight into my router and feeds me internet.

Your upload speed seems pretty solid, if you can, test your upload speeds her and see if you are getting what you should for upload speeds. If everything checks out, I would guess port forwarding is your issue. I know when I try to download torrects my speeds are extremely limited if I do not have port forwarding set up properly, but once I open the specific port, I once again gain my max speed.

Keep digging around the options, I believe port trigger (which is what is displayed on the picture) will not help us here, but if you can find the port forwarding option, then we should be set. You will just need to figure out which port the game uses. What is the name of the game you are having problems with?

Looks like warframe used ports 3960 & 3962, you will need to forward both. And select the TCP & UDP option if possible. If not, make two seperate entries for each port, one for TCP and one for UDP as I am not sure exactly which protocol the game uses, so better safe than sorry.
