Hello! My current boot up device is a petty 2.5" 250gb hard drive that has Windows and all of my files that I want to keep. I recently fixed a 1tb 3.5" hard drive that we had, and I would like to use that one as my main C: drive. Is it as easy as copying every file on my current drive to the one I want to use? If not, what do I have to do to make the 1tb my main drive without deleting any files from my 250gb drive? Also, is the 1tb drive becoming a bootable drive an obstacle?

No, it is not just a simple copy job. I will assume that you have Windows 7 since you just say Windows.

Before you start make a system repair disc or have a Windows 7 installer disk handy. You need to clone the old drive to the new drive using cloning software like Clonezilla, EaseUS Todo Backup, Ghost 15 or Acronis True Image (among others). Then you can remove the old drive and boot to the new drive.
