My favorite way is to download the usb drive installer, put it on a usb drive and boot from that. Then it'll run automatically.
You'll need to go into your bios to set it to boot from a usb drive, and sometimes it'll only boot from a usb 2.0 port.
Also get memtest86+ (the plus sign is important)
