Is a sound card or expensive headset worth it?

Is it worth it to buy a sound card such as $30 xonar to use. Is it also worth it to get one of those super expensive $100+ headsets. I've got a simple logitech g230 headset that I got in a bundle (2 Channel) that works fine and I'm wondering how much buying an expensive headset improves quality/experience over my regular ol' headset. On another note, since I honestly enjoy messing with my pc more than actually using it, can a sound card be liquid cooled and overclocked?

Solution
If you are happy with the sound you already have, there is no point in getting a sound card.

Most sound cards these days are little more than ADCs/DACs with a PCIe (or USB2/3) interface so you would gain absolutely nothing from overclocking one of these even if you could. These usually need less than 5W and do not even require a heatsink.

Thanks. I now know that getting a sound card isn't something I'd want to do. I do think I will buy a slightly better headset because I do want a little bit more from my headset.
