Screw stuck in motherboard

I bought a new case recently (Aerocool XPredator) among other upgrades. This is the first time I build a PC entirely on my own, and when I was trying to mount my motherboard (Asus Sabertooth P67) I accidentally took the wrong screw which looked similar and attempted to screw it into the standoff.

Now the screw is stuck into the motherboard (didn't reach the standoff) and I can't get it out. I can't push it out gently either, because it's stuck sideways. It doesn't rotate in either side if I try to unscrew it.

Is there a way to remove it without damaging the motherboard? If not, would it be a problem if there is one missing screw (it's on the top left corner, near the I/O ports)? Thanks!

Just make sure that the screw does not short circuit anything. There is no problem if one mounting screw is missing on the motherboard installation. Leave the standoff under this location. Trying to remove the stuck screw with force may cause damage to the delicate traces on the motherboard.
