Hot i7 w/ EVO 212

Hey all, Im getting idling temps of 43-50+C on my i7 750k after installing a hyper 212 evo. I played some games and it didnt go over 72C. Is this normal? Or do I have to...reinstall the cpu cooler with maybe a little less arctic silver 5?

yeah, someone told me I didn't need the back-plate installed with my AMD i7, but I didnt see any other way of securing it. So i have the back-plate on there, everything seems pretty tightly secured...how can I tell if its properly clamped?
