I am going out of town monday morning and i want to bring my computer but i wont be getting a hotel until monday night after work. How can i keep my water from freezing while its in my car while i work... Can i just add a little antifreeze? or alcohol? Or draining the only answer?

Solution
Oh, but it shows people do it.
So mix for the lows you need. 50/50 is good to -35C
But that's probably a bit much.

The problem with draining is you'll have to get it all out. If a bit of water pools in a heat sink coil, or other confined space. It could still expand and split the part.
