I've already had people help me out on each part and give me their thoughts. However, now that I've put it together I'd like some thoughts on the whole system. Everything seems to work fine.

Everything is good. If you're planning on gaming then you need to get a graphics card otherwise you're going to have a bad time. If you want to overclock in the future you need to buy a processor with a 'k' at the end, otherwise it's pointless to have a Z87 motherboard. If you need to adjust your budget to buy a $300 graphics card then switch to an AMD processor and compatible motherboard like an FX 6300. For a graphics card I would buy either a GTX 660 Ti or a GTX 760.

Drop the thermal paste. It is not needed for the stock cooler.

Get an h87 motherboard because you will not be overclocking.

What GPU will you be using? Change the PSU to a 500-650w unit if you are using a single card. 750w is too much and pointless.

Gotcha, thanks for the advice. I've been thinking about the 760, but wanted to wait until the 800 series comes out.

You should go ahead and buy a 760. You can get a PSU with a lower wattage at like 500 Watts but if you keep the one at 750 Watts it will stay cool enough that the fans will not have to run and it will last longer.

This is 100% false. The fan will always run, regardless, and the PSU will not get hot at all. A higher wattage PSU DOES NOT last longer. This is 100% myth. Sorry. It is actually BETTER for the PSU and SYSTEM to buy a PSU which is appropriate for the system. For this system with an gtx760, 550w is more than enough. Get an XFX550. AMAZING PSU for the price.

I was thinking of doing SLI 760s, which is why I got the 750w. Plus I had a mail in rebate for $30. The price I posted in the first post is wrong.

If I'm not mistaken I remember a Tek Syndicate video saying that about the low load not needing to use a fan. It was probably for a specific PSU though. Look here if you want to find it https://www.youtube.com/user/razethew0rld/videos
