How do I get Windows Media Center in Win 8.1 Pro when I upgrade from Win 8 Pro with Windows Media Center ?" I purchased both Windows 8 Pro and Windows Media Center and have the product keys for both. I also have the modified product key for Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center. The Windows Media Center product key will not work in the Windows 8.1 Pro "add features" facility. So do I have to re-purchase Windows Media Center to get it to work?

^ Same for me when I upgraded from Windows 8 Pro Media Center I got Windows 8.1 Pro Media Center I did not have to do anything the upgrade went just fine and kept Media Center.

When I upgraded from Win 8 Pro with WMC to Win 8.1 Pro.....the Media Center portion transferred seamlessly.

Unfortunately for reasons only known to God ( & perhaps) Microsoft, this didn't occur when I upgraded my system. I've emailed MS regarding this and am awaiting their response, which I will summarise here in this forum thread when I'm informed. LOL It should make interesting reading...
