Problem with Laser mouse

Hi, i recently bought a new laser mouse, the gigabyte m6980x, to replace my stock computer mouse. unfortunately, I've encountered a problem with the mouse, it still tracks even when it is off my mouse pad. this is a big problem for me, due to the way i use mice. is this a problem with just my mouse, or do all laser mice do this. Thanks

all laser mice track when lifted. its due to the fact that they use a laser instead of a led/optical sensor.

its not really a flaw... its just how the technology works.

you need to buy yourself a mouse with a led type sensor instead.
