Hey guys. I'm looking for a laptop for my father that will be able to do HD video editing. He records in 1920x1080 @ around 60FPS.
The GoPro site recommends the following specs:

3.0 - 3.7 GHz Ivy Bridge processor or AMD Equivalent
4GB of RAM
Graphics comparable to Nvidia GeForce GT 650M

Any product recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I'd take a look at the Lenovo Y510p series: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y...

They all have i7s and good grahpics (better than 650M) and varying screen sizes.

This CyberPower laptop is on sale at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Excellent specs there too.

if money isn't an issue i would 100% recommend the new late 2013 15" Macbook Pro This laptop has intel Iris Pro GPU or upgrade to Nvidia GT750m which is better than the Gt 650m. As everyone knows this is amazing for video editing, thats what mac's are know for:)  It also has 8GB RAM, quadcore haswell i7, Retina display that is gorgeus for displaying images:)  I have the 13"Macbook pro and i love it:)

I went ahead and bought a laptop from the Y510 series. It met and even exceeded the specs for a good price.
Thanks a ton.
