I just got my Nighthawk. The wifi is great but my dell server won't connect to the wired network! It runs my minecraft server and people want it back up fast. It worked fine with my previous router but it just won't work with this nice one!

- Have you tried connecting the dell server to another available port? Also, try testing the ports with a known working device if that doesn't work.

- Is the nighthawk acting as a DHCP server? If so, does the dell server get assigned an address and what is it? If not, is the server set to automatically be assigned an IP?

- Try checking the connected devices tab in the router configuration page (mine is under my status page). Do you see the MAC address for the dell server anywhere?

Just a couple of thoughts off the top of my head. You may also want to reset the configuration on the router to factory defaults incase maybe somehow the settings got configured in a manner prior to your ownership. Other than that, we can narrow down the source of the problem: If all the ports on the nighthawk work, and the dell is still not receiving connectivity, then we can assume the dell is the problem, or for some reason the nighthawk is blocking traffic to/from the server's mac address. Hopefully this is something as simple as a defective router, i.e. dead ports. Best of luck to ya and look forward to a response. - Sub

It's not the ports. I tested them on my laptop. Same for the cable. Is my static ip the problem?

The static IP could be an issue if another device on your network was assigned that particular IP first by the DHCP server. What IP did you assign to the server? I would suggest using something like .250 and limiting the DHCP server to issue addresses to 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.249. Can you ping the router from your dell server?
