- Have you tried connecting the dell server to another available port? Also, try testing the ports with a known working device if that doesn't work.
- Is the nighthawk acting as a DHCP server? If so, does the dell server get assigned an address and what is it? If not, is the server set to automatically be assigned an IP?
- Try checking the connected devices tab in the router configuration page (mine is under my status page). Do you see the MAC address for the dell server anywhere?
Just a couple of thoughts off the top of my head. You may also want to reset the configuration on the router to factory defaults incase maybe somehow the settings got configured in a manner prior to your ownership. Other than that, we can narrow down the source of the problem: If all the ports on the nighthawk work, and the dell is still not receiving connectivity, then we can assume the dell is the problem, or for some reason the nighthawk is blocking traffic to/from the server's mac address. Hopefully this is something as simple as a defective router, i.e. dead ports. Best of luck to ya and look forward to a response. - Sub
