Hey guys! So I got a new computer the other day and had it hooked up to my tv for a monitor. It was working just fine until I took it to my cousins house... When I used their tv I changed the resolution ( don't know if that's. the probelem) but when I brought it home to use again it won't give a signal anymore :(. What can I do to fix this? Sorry bout spelling I'm on my iPod... Thx in advance!

Solution
New hdmi cord still no change?

Would try reinstall video drivers but trouble is, video drivers have nothing to do with post bios and should be getting a picture. Even if the resolution was the cause, it wont take in affect until after os loads.

Unless somehow the DHCP of the video card has glitched and is looking for your cousin's tv only. Cant really see that happening but reinstalling drivers will tell.

A HDTV is really simple to use, theres not much that can go wrong unless the TV is buggered. Have you tried a console or set top box, anything else with hdmi?

Are you getting the bios splash screen before it loads windows? if so might have to go into safemode and adjust the resolution if your tv isnt agreeing with the changed resolution.

If nothing at all, what video cable are you using?

If using hdmi or dvi, check the back of the case you're using the right one. Computers can have more than 1 video output sockets.

Hey sorry for the slow response
1) We are using the graphics hdmi slot
2) We got the computer working on my brothers monitor but not the tv
3) we turned the resolution down while using the monitor and it still doesnt work on the hdtv.
4) we are about to try a new hdmi cord

Thx, all responses are apprecated!
