Need help upgradeing cpu

i am upgrading my cpu from a athlon II x3 450, my motherboard takes am3 cpu, what im wanting to know pretty much, is what is the best cpu i can get for a am3 motherboard or a good enough one that would be a upgrade from the athlon II x3 450, i think the athlon is bottlenecking my gpu, my gpu is a radeon hd 7770, and it would also be helpful for whatever cpu that would be a good upgrade from this what would be a good heatsink for it was well, i have a very odd motherboard its a 04gjjt, its heatsink is like a intel one it uses LGA775 screw type mounting 92mm , so i need a heatsink that has that to fit on my mobo any help would be very helpful

The AMD Phenom II x4 955 was never tested by us on this PC. Dell only has one motherboard for the Inspiron 570 desktop =
