New SSD Installation

CPU: Intel Core I5-760
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2V

I received a 120GB SSD for Christmas and just finally purchased a 3.5" to 2.5" drive bay adapter. I'm now ready to install my SSD and transfer my OS from my 80GB HDD to the SDD.

I'm viewing things about different formats (?) like UEFI, GPT, ACHI, etc... ???

What steps do I need to take in order for my system to recognize and accept my new SSD and allow me to clone my HDD to it?

Solution
What you need is to connect the SSD

and then run a program called Acronis Migrate easy which will copy everyhting on the hard drive including Windows to the SSD .

Migrate easy has a couple of weeks free usage so it wont cost you anything either

Thanks Outlander.

Beginning to think I should perform a full install from scratch. I tried to install Migrate Easy, but it errored out stating that I had a newer version already installed. I've previously had Arconis True Image installed, but (I thought) I had removed that from my system. I'm thinking a registry clean up may be in order?
