ello, i was in need of some help i would like to upgrade my Pc but at also save some money at the same time. I would like to be able to play the new games coming out for the Pc at the maximum resolution, this computer just can't do that anymore. I'm willing to replace anything that will allow me to run everything very smoothly. But if it is possible to just replace a few parts for some fair amount of money i will do that just looking and needing some ideas because i'm all out. I'm willing to spend about $400 to $600 on changing parts.
And for just making a new far better Pc for up to $900.
I would like to know if my Pc could just have a few changed parts to make it run the games i want and what the parts are. At the moment it runs at about 8 fps in Dayz (and the new games)and i want it to run up to 60 to 80 fps, i'm a Pc noob when it comes to building and in dire need of some help anyways heres what my Pc has atm thanks, Black Crayon

My Pc has an AMD ATHLON || x4 630 quad_core

6GB DDR3 system memory

1 terabyte hardrive

and a Nvidia GeForce 9100

You can upgrade your cpu to the Phenom II X4 Black Quad Core for about $100.00. I looked up your computer and based on the motherboard this is the best processor you can upgrade to. It will improve performance by more than 33% but I'm concerned by 2 other issues with upgrading your current setup. First, your power supply is only 300W. You can upgrade this but you have to be sure it will fit your case. I recommend at least a 450W upgrade but higher is better. Second, depending on what video card (gpu) you choose to upgrade to that must both fit your case and be compatible with your motherboard. The newest games require the latest video cards. Their has been two generations of upgrades from PCIE x16 1.0 which you have to PCIE x16...

You can upgrade this but you have to be sure it will fit your case. I recommend at least a 450W upgrade but higher is better. Second, depending on what video card (gpu) you choose to upgrade to that must both fit your case and be compatible with your motherboard. The newest games require the latest video cards. Their has been two generations of upgrades from PCIE x16 1.0 which you have to PCIE x16 2.0 and now PCIE x16 3.0 is the newest standard. This will be the hardest part if you have the first two issues addressed (upgraded cpu and psu) as you have to make sure that the new card is backwards compatible with a pcie x16 1.0 lane. If you can find such a card that will probably not be the strongest card available. And as to your goal of playing at the maximum resolution if you only mean the size of a typical hd screen at 1920x1080 that is possible but if you mean at maximum graphics settings then for reasons stated above you should understand why that would not be realistic. As negative as this may all sound, however, should you invest in these upgrades you will still be able to enjoy your computer in a much greater capacity but do not expect to perform like an enthusiasts rig who has invested $1400-$7000. You can alternatively build a budget gaming rig that will get very close to maximum resolution but that will be closer to $800 give or take a couple of hundred depending on how you proceed. I know this is a lot of info. If you still have more questions I'd be more than happy to break it down but this should get you conceptually forward at the very least. Hope this helps! Stay encouraged and have fun with it!

Thanks,

Justin S.
