Hi all,

I just got a new gaming rig comprising the following:
Intel® Core™ i5-4670 Processor
(6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)
Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler
Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Low Profile CL9
Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
WD Caviar Black 1 TB 3.5" 64 MB SATA3 (WD1002FAEX) 5 Yrs
Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E
LG GH24NSBO 24x SATA INT DVD Writer
Fractal Design Define R4 Black W/Window
Seasonic S12G 750W 80+ Gold PSU
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OEM(64Bit)
Samsung S24B350TL 24" LED Monitor

I have installed windows 7 into my SSD

Problem1:
After installing all of my firmware, Samsung Magician, graphics drivers, updated my mobo bios etc. Occasionally when shutting down computer from windows, the power light on switch on my fractal casing is still on but my monitor has no display, I have to hold the power on switch to completely turn off my computer. (This happens occasionally)

Problem2:
Sometimes when turning on the computer using my power on switch. Screen shows the BIOS post screen and then hangs. I get around this prob by pressing the power on buttons once, wait for 5 secs then press power on again.

Could anyone suggest any reasons for the above issues? Thanx!

Doh was hoping I wouldn't have to go through all that trouble. Will probably test my comp further and update my thread as it goes along.

My Bios settings:
Set to normal in EZ-mode and XMP settings for my memory :)

Thanks GrimzardTech for the quick reply!

PS I think it might be an SSD issue. 1st time ever using an SSD.
