I am new to the forum and a beginner as well so the question might be have been asked and answered before, I am building a desktop and I bought an open box Mobo: the ASRock 990FX extreme3
The rest of the hardware is:
AMD FX-6350
XFX Radeon 7870
Kingston V300 120GB SSD
WD Blue 7200 - 6GB/sec 1TB HDD
2 x 4GB G.SKill Ripjaws 1866 RAM
RAIDMAX Hybrid modular 730W PSU
Corsair H80i water cooler
RAIDMAX Helios mid tower case
LG CD/DVD writer combo
Unfortunately I haven’t try my hardware before installing it in the case, so after installing everything and booting for the first time, after the bios screen, a message showed the following:
“bootmgr is missing please press alt + ctrl – del”
So when rebooting and entering bios and I noticed all bios functions are unavailable on the side as they usually are on the side of the screen of any ASRock mobo, a.k.a, the F functions like F5, F9 and so on…., for instance when hitting F9, it shows “load default” and when I choose “yes” nothing happens, anyone has idea how to solve this issue, I can’t even get beyond the bios screen. Is the mobo any good? Will flashing the bios do any good?
Thanks
