So I'm not sure if this is in the right category, but I really need help.
So I have had minecraft for ages on my gaming rig and everything was working fine. This morning I downloaded the newest AMD graphics driver, 14.1, so that I could use mantle in Battlefield 4 (which is great btw :D). I decided to play a little minecraft and realised my x128 resource pack wasn't selected. I went into the resource pack folder and tried to use it but it kept switching me back to default. I tried my other resource pack (x32) which appeared to work, but when I went into a server none of the textures except items and particles would load.
I've tried everything: Switching resource packs, even back to default, re downloading minecraft, reverting back to the old driver (13.12), re installing java, all with no luck. If anyone could help me, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

if you type in %appdata% and then move (not copy) the .minecraft folder to another folder to back it up temporary like the downloads or desktop. then open up the minecraft launcher and redownload all the MC files. the ".minecraft" folder is basically the installation folder, so instead of doing a repair like the re-downloading may have done this will be a better way to re-download it.

test that and see if that works on default texture pack. If it does then go ahead and drop your x128 pack in there. it may help to increase your RAM allowance too in the minecraft launcher.
