Hi, i recently bought a radeon HD 4870, i noticed it had 2 6 pin pcie connectors, my computer only has ONE PCIE connector, so i bought a molex to 6 pin pci adapter, now when my games run (portal 2, even bf2) the game just has certain "vertices" missing, so it isn't the game, it even does it when i try to play movies.

The problem is, is i connect up 6 pin pcie no problem, but the adapter has TWO MOLEX, and one PCIE x6, BUT my computer only has ONE molex, so do i need to find another adapter to plug in to the other MOLEX into? As it seems the graphics card is running at low power, i downclocked it and it seems to fix the problem for now, on older games, but it is impossible to play newer games, so my question is:

What adapters can i use to make a MOLEX available?

I have 2 S-ATA slots left on the motherboard, and i have 2 HDD powerlead slots, is it possible to get adapters which turn the power from them leads in to MOLEX so i can connect it up powerful to get my graphics card to properly?

So for this being so long, thanks in advance forr any help if you can give it me :)

4870 indeed needs a proper power supply, but those issues you having are more likely due to fried gpu not a power issues.
If it was not enough power, it wouldn't turn on or you would get random crashes.
