Hi guys,
I've been looking for a solution to stream movies from my pc to my tv. they are both in my room but too distant from each other to use a standard hdmi cable (they start losing quality if they're longer than 1.5m).

I had a look at the asus miracast dongle, which is pretty awesome, maybe the best out there so far. I have one question though. Will it stream from a pc to a tv? all i could find was from a smartphone/tablet to a monitor/tv.

Assuming I have a wireless card in my pc, would it work? i guess a dedicated application is needed to make it work. do you have any idea?

HDMI is a digital connection. It doesn't lose quality. It either works or it doesn't.

http://techreport.com/news/25653/asus-challenges-chrome... says: According to the product page, the Asus dongle is only compatible with a handful of the company's own devices, including several MeMO Pad models, one Transformer, and the latest version of the Nexus 7. Streaming from a PC doesn't appear to be an option.

Ok, thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to wait... or get a super long hdmi cable lol.
