why my ping is very high in online games ??

guy i have a big problem i don't know why but when i try my network speed in speedtest.net my ping is about 60ms but when I'm in online games like counter strike source my ping is about 350ms please help me .....
here is my computer information

processor: Intel core i7 CPU M 620 @ 2.67GHz 2.66GHz
ram: 4.00 GB
system type: 64-bit
chip type: GeForce GT 330M

and i should tell u that I'm using boot camp and i installed windows 7 ultimate on my mac book pro.

There should be lists of IP addresses for the various servers just ping them.

350ms is huge this what you would expect if you played say from India to the USA.

Now the so called ping times in game measure much more than just the network itself. You need to compare what the game is telling you to what you get if you ping the server from a command prompt. If they are similar then you just need to find a better server. If the game is higher which is very common it tends to be the game is being slowed down by something and is adding this slowness into its measurements. You will see many complaints about ping times changing when people change video cards or video drivers so when it is not really a network issue it gets tough...

Connect to a closer server. Otherwise there is nothing you can do

but how should i know which one is closer without trying it ??
