Looking to either pick up a 780 or another 7870

I already own a 7870 and I was wondering if I could get better performance with one 780 or cross fired 7870's. I am also looking to take future upgrade ability into account. If you need the rest of my build as well just tell me.

Also are the rumors about 780 having problems with windows 7 true?

Solution
Crossfired 7870s will be more powerful than a single 780, but, as you may be aware, Crossfire is buggy and often not worth it. If you were to go for a 780 now, you'll have more vram for the future, and also could add another in the next year or so when prices drop, so there's more upgrade room when you start with a higher card.

Just my $0.02. Good luck!

Yeah I heard that there were some crossfire problems. Plus I have concerns with maxing myself out of an easier upgrade and I'm trying to move from the AMD budget stuff to the higer quality Intel and Nvidia. And sorry for the noob question but what is VRAM?

No bad questions here, mate, it just stands for Video RAM (or graphics card memory). As games are capable of using more and more it will serve you well to have a little more available. (Plus higher resolution monitors and multiple of those will run you up on RAM usage)

Thanks a lot. Just getting into this kind of think and I'm not sure where to start for all the terminology and stuff.
