Hello, I had this problem for quite a while with my asus, that I was running an empty battery most of the time with my laptop. For almost a year I had a warning balloon saying that I should replace it, because it was on adapter all the time and without it it wouldn't even hold for 30 secs.
Anyway, I've got a new battery now, and the windows does not give me a "consider replacing your battery" warning, but at 99% my laptop just goes hibernate. Not sure what is happening maybe I should reset that I have a new battery somewhere or something, because this is really strange.
