My Wi-Fi shows that it is connected, but only loads certain pages. Youtube loads but the videos will not play, only shows a black screen labeled as 'Error.' I am also unable to check email. It is the same issue with my phone. Typically, my phone connects to the Wi-Fi with no problem. I have exhausted and Googled every solution possible. Help?

Solution
sounds like your router is working but your cable modem is not. power off the router, power off the cable modem and unplug the cable for a few mins, plug the cable back in, power on the cable modem, wait a minute and power on the router. Reboot your pc if it does not get a connection or
start a command prompt as a admin (windows key +x, A)
then type these commands

Ipconfig.exe /release
Ipconfig.exe /renew

if everything is ok you should be able to see the internet with your browser now

Note: The webpages you were able to see before were actually copied to your local machine in a temp location(cache)
and you were not actually going out to the internet
