I am in need of help as I have 7 days to return the hdtv's I bought yesterday.
I bought three toshiba 40" which I was told is true 1080p and it does say "full HD" on the box.

Cost me £675.00.

Gutted when I saw a crap picture with the games compared to my sony bravio 40".

I put the panels next to each other and compared at the same time.

The toshiba runs at 1080p through windows (nvidia) and games but for some reason it says in windows
that it's native resolution is 1080i althought I can select the 1080p through the control panels (nvidia)

Am I worrying for nothing as when I press info on the remote it does say it's running 1080p
but I feel the picture looks more like 1080i of the sony.

p.s also on the toshiba specs on websites states this tv is 100hz but it's not. In windows it only shows 60hz.

Have I got a leg to stand on when returning?

How come I can choose the 1080p option and run games? When I press info it does say the game is running 1080p.
Is it a scam or is it just a poorer 1080p picture.

What worried my was the nvidia control panel listings.

I don't know, but why don't you google the exact model you have and see what it is supposed to have. If it turns out it is officially not 1080p, then that's that. Else, you need to ask someone else. If you're nice maybe they'll just let you return it anyway. Stranger things have happened.
