New build questions

Hi everyone
I'm going to buy my new gaming computer soon and was wondering if i should make some changes.

Corsair CX 430
2x4GB G.skill sniper 1866
Intel G2030 Pentium 3ghz lga 1155
MSI B75MA-E333 Socket 1155 M-ATX
WD Caviar blue 500gb
Coolermaster RC-K380 USB 3.0
PowerColor HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x 16 256-bit

I have a bit of spare cash to maybe spend on the CPU or the HDD , I already own the Graphics card, and would the PSU be enough?

Thanks in advance
Ewert

  1. Yes, I recommend a better PSU eg. the Corsair TX series, as low wattage CX series have a larger chance of failing. You can try any PSU from Seasonic, Antec, XFX.

Thanks for the reply, I would look into adding a bigger PSU.
Would the G2030 be a bottleneck in this system?

    1. I'd personally suggest getting an XFX ProSeries 450w PSU, It's in my build right now and it works like a dream as well as being real silent.
    2. No, your Intel Pentium G2030 will not bottleneck your HD 7850, in fact they'll work quite nicely together.

Thank you all, I thought at first an I5 was the big thing and most cheaper CPU's will bottleneck, but I would get me an XFX 450.
  5. It really depends on what sort of games you'll be playing,
If you know what sort of budget you're working with, we might be able to suggest you a build for a similar price that performs better.
