Hey; I've been working on my first gaming computer build over the last few weeks and have decided to go with this build. I haven't decided what fans to go with for the case just yet and am asking for some feedback and advice. I'd preferably like to go with a Blue or Green LED theme but open to all options.

If you have any questions or feedback on any part choices or different routes I should look into that would be great. Thanks.

Solution
The GD65 is black, as opposed to brown, a visual choice.
The GD65 has more VRMs, which means more power phases, which gives you better over clocking ability.
The GD65 has 2 more SATA ports.
The GD65 also has more on-board overclocking tools. A debug LED and onboard OC Genie button, voltmeter measure points, and an onboard power button(good for benching).

Really the reason to get the GD65 is if you are overclocking to get the best performance you can, it is worth the extra few dollars in my own opinion, and based on your budget, its within reason to get. Its a board with overclocking in mind, combined with the 770 Lightning and an unlocked i5-4670k, it can really bring out what you can do with overclocks.

If you go with a single MSi GTX 770 Lightning, it comes with blue LEDs and a cool looking reactor for overvoltage regulation, a much better card than 2 760s in SLI, as it is an insane overclocker and a better setup would be a one card solution, as you don't have to worry about microstutter, SLI scaling, etc. And I would really recommend a z87-gd65, Its not much more and much more worthwhile.

Thanks for the quick reply; I had thought about the 770 but I pushed myself away from it just due to budget in the thought of SLI in the future. I've been debating it for awhile now. As for the mobo, what makes the gd65 so much better than the gd45?

Awesome man, I'll start doing some number crunching and take a look into those options. Would you have any good ideas on what fans to use with a blue or green LED that would be suitable in a CM storm trooper?
