tv will not power on

Different things could be the culprit
1. Check the power outlet to see if it is live. This can be easily tested with a nightlight or appliance like a blender. If there is no power , check to see if the breaker has tripped and needs to reset. If tripping occurs again or there is no light you may have to call in a general electrician to look at wiring/ connections.
2 Check the power connector on the television. Unplug the end at the t.v. (if it is possible) and then plug it back in. Check the end that plugs into the wall outlet and see if it is polarized. Also check that end for internal fuses and see if it is blown and needs replacing (like what christmas tree lights have).
3. Press and hold the power button for at least fifteen seconds when the plug is in the wall outlet (provided there is ample power to the t.v.). Note if there is any visible changes on the first try.
4. If your t.v. is affected by low voltage and your area is affected by it, you may have to buy a step up voltage regulator / ups system to give it a conditioned 115 Volts.
5. Check the model number with an official manual and consult the "troubleshooting" section
