Graphics card broke my pc

I got a and put a graphics card in my pc and turned it on, the loading screen was normal, but it wouldn't start up (froze on the "compaq" screen) So I took graphics card out and then now my PC is just fuzzed up on the loading screen and won't start up.. Truer it of, reset it, everything, and it still does it. Please help!

What pc do you have and what graphics card did you try to put in?

It's just a standard Compaq pc, windows vista, and the graphics card was second hand one so I don't even know what was wrong with it so what ever was wrong has done something to my PC and I need it sorting help:/

Does your motherboard have onboard graphics? Can you see an HDMI, DVI or VGA output coming out of your motherboard's I/O?

Yeahhh, basically I used my computer for graphic work but i wanted to use it for gaming too, then I found a graphics card at Carboot and put it in my PC and then all that just happened...

It's the same, froze on the load screen and its all fixed up, miss placed like something's broken. Graphics card is GT 7600 and PSU watt, don't know?

so you bought an old GT7600. Are you sure it was working?

ps the GT7600 won't play many games. I had a 8600 and a new bottom end 7750 was 10 times more powerful.
