Moving Windows 7 to a new HDD

Exactly as the title says, I want to know the steps necessary to move windows to a new HDD because I will be receiving a new one soon.

If you could point me to a guide or something along those lines I would appreciate it.

You have two options here.
1) Fresh install and move data over: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/operatingsystems/ss/windows-7-new-install-part-1.htm
2) Clone your old drive to the new drive. Here is an overview and a few tools: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2421302,00.asp

Cloning is easier and saves time if done correctly.

I already had a vague idea of what cloning was. I just didn't know how to do it. The guide on PCMag that you gave me is kind of hard to follow. I guess I should have mentioned that I was looking for something a bit more visual (pictures with the steps).
