does 450w handles this system

Solution
That 550W is more than enough for that system, that M5A97 LE board has no VRM heatsinks so your friend won't be pushing much of an overclock on that system

450W will power it, but 550W will give you enough headroom for any future upgrades (single GPU configuration)

Solution
Those requirements are always overstated, 550W is plenty for a single GPU configuration, so he'd be fine

My old GTX 260 required a 500W PSU with 38A on the +12v rail for the entire system, and it ran perfectly on a CM unit with a maximum +12v output of 26A (an FX-6300 uses more power but it should definitely be fine with a good 500-550W unit)

Well with that motherboard, you're not really going to be able to overclock safely unless he decides to actually install some heatsinks on the VRMs (which the regular M5A97 already has)

In your link the PSU links to the Corsair CX500M which does not handle very well under stress

yes i know i forgot to fix that part sry. so its changed im with the xfx 550 and the asrock mobo. thanks. i just sing in to do this question and im suprised with this big family. i actualy have a problem with actual pc, i have a asus 7850 2gb a i5 3330 and 8 gb of ram but the probles is the psu that is an lc-power 500w and that psu is driving-me crazy and i want to change it, should i go with a xfx 450w or 550w? thanks

No worries, that Asrock board isn't great for overclocking either so hope your friend bears that in mind (it'd be a great idea to get the regular Asus M5A97 R2.0 if possible to fit into that budget, the Extreme3 is not bad, it's just that the regular M5A97 is a better choice)
